This ranch-direct ordering method allows you to buy a fraction of a whole animal (1/8, 1/4, 1/2, or whole) at a lower cost per pound than our smaller curated Beef Boxes. Typical order fulfillment is 2-4 weeks. For annual orders, late summer or fall is the best window, when cattle have the benefit of summer pasture. Choose a pick up location for your Locker Beef order on the Colorado Front Range for no charge or have it shipped to your door via UPS (see rates below).

You can expect roughly the following ratios of cuts:

  • 14-17% high end steaks, may include - New York, Rib, Sirloin, Tenderloin, Flat Iron, or Delmonico (Eye of Chuck).

  • 7-8% utility steaks, may include- Sirloin Tip (usually as Fajita strips), Flank, Skirt, Flap (Bavette), Hanger, Rib Cap, or Round.

  • 28-32% roasts, ribs etc., may include- Chuck Roast, Rump Roast, English Rib Roast, Pikes Peak Roast, Tri-tip Short Ribs, Brisket, or Stew Meat, or Soup Bone.

  • 48-51% ground beef, 1 Lb. packages.

Fulfillment

COLORADO FRONT RANGE PICKUP

  1. You designate a pickup location (see below) and make a 50% deposit with your online order. Pick-up dates depend on order volumes, weather, and cattle ready for harvest. Lead times can range from 1 week to 6 weeks.

  2. Once the animal is processed, our team will email you to set up a date and time for pickup and invoice the remaining balance. The remaining balance can be paid by check or online. Payment must be made before delivery.

  3. If you cancel your order before your Locker Beef ships, the deposit is non-refundable.

  4. Pickup options with our cold storage partners are available along the front range for locker beef. Select your preferred location at checkout.

FREE UPS GROUND SHIPPING

  1. SUBMIT ALL ORDERS BY 5pm FRIDAY- ORDER WILL SHIP MONDAY. Orders submitted after 5pm on Friday will roll to the following Monday.

  2. We ship to the lower 48, but shipping to Zones 4 and 5 are only available in colder seasons. Find your state and Zone on the map below. If you are UPS Ground in the 1-Day Zone, expect your shipment on Tuesday, the 2-Day Zone arrives Wednesday, etc. If you are in Zones 4 and 5, please contact us via phone or email to confirm your order. We only ship to these zones in the colder months and our website does not allow fulfillment to these zones.

  3. We cannot ship frozen product to 3-Day Ground Areas over the holidays due to expected delays. Sign up for our email list to receive information about holiday shipping cutoff dates.

  4. We verify that orders will arrive in 1-3 days before shipment. UPS does not deliver on Saturday. If your order does not meet the deadline or fit the 3 day delivery window, we will roll it over to the next week. If we need to adjust your shipment service due to weather, transit time, or box weight we'll let you know. You will receive a fulfillment and tracking email after the order is shipped.
