If you're looking to stock your freezer for the season, Locker Beef is the way to go. This ranch-direct ordering method allows you to buy a fraction of a whole animal (1/8, 1/4, 1/2, or whole) at a lower cost per pound than our smaller curated Beef Boxes. Typical order fulfillment is 2-4 weeks. For annual orders, late summer or fall is the best window, when cattle have the benefit of summer pasture. Choose a pick up location for your Locker Beef order on the Colorado Front Range for no charge or have it shipped to your door via UPS (see rates below).

You can expect roughly the following ratios of cuts:

  • 14-17% high end steaks, may include - New York, Rib, Sirloin, Tenderloin, Flat Iron, or Delmonico (Eye of Chuck).

  • 7-8% utility steaks, may include- Sirloin Tip (usually as Fajita strips), Flank, Skirt, Flap (Bavette), Hanger, Rib Cap, or Round.

  • 28-32% roasts, ribs etc., may include- Chuck Roast, Rump Roast, English Rib Roast, Pikes Peak Roast, Tri-tip Short Ribs, Brisket, or Stew Meat, or Soup Bone.

  • 48-51% ground beef, 1 Lb. packages.

Here’s how it works:

  1. You designate a pickup location or shipment location and make a down payment with your online order. Delivery dates depend on order volumes, weather, and cattle ready for harvest but will usually be once every couple months.

  2. Once the animal is processed, our team will email you to set up a date and time for pickup and invoice the remaining balance.

  3. The remaining balance can be paid by check at pickup or online (before pickup). Payment must be made before a home delivery.

  4. If you cancel your order before your Locker Beef ships, the deposit is non-refundable

HOME DELIVERY

How Long?

  1. Shipping charges do apply to locker beef delivered via UPS. 1/8 Beef: $132, 1/4 Beef: $237, 1/2 Beef: $473, Whole Beef: $946

  2. Find your state and “Area” on the map below. We ship to the lower 48. If you are UPS Ground in the 1-Day Area expect your shipment on a Tuesday, the 2-Day Area arrives a Wednesday etc. If your area is 2nd-Day Air please email us.

  3. Holiday season shipping takes longer. We cannot ship to 3-Day Ground Areas over the holidays.

  4. We verify that orders will arrive in 1-3 days before shipment. UPS does not deliver on Saturday. If your order does meet the deadline or fit the 3 day delivery window, we will roll it over to the next week. If we need to adjust your shipment service due to weather, transit time, or box weight we'll let you know. You will receive a fulfillment and tracking notice by email after the order is shipped. UPS 3 Day Select is only available seasonally.
