When you place a Locker Beef order with RLCB, your animal begins the finishing process (90-120 days). We now have grass finished beef available year round. If you want corn finished, call or email us for availability. We believe our grass finished is as good as any corn finished you’ll find. Visit our FAQ section to learn more. You can choose a pick up location for your Locker Beef order on the Colorado Front Range (no charge) or have it shipped to your door via UPS (see charges below).
You can expect roughly the following ratios of cuts:
12-15% high end steaks, may include- T-Bone, New York, Rib, Sirloin, or Tenderloin.
7-8% utility steaks, may include- Sirloin Tip, Flank, Skirt, or Round.
30-33% roasts, ribs etc., may include- Chuck Roast, Rump Roast, English Rib Roast, Pikes Peak Roast, Short Ribs, Brisket, Stew Meat, or Soup Bone.
48-51% ground beef, 1 Lb. packages.
VALUE: Have you looked at grocery store beef prices lately? Given the percentages above, the Whole Beef at $8.50/Lb is comparable to purchasing steak at $15/Lb, utility steaks at $8/Lb, roasts and ribs at $8.50/Lb, and ground beef at $6.00/Lb. You save money and a trip to the grocery store on a quarter, half, or whole beef.

Here’s how it works:
You designate a pickup location or shipment location and make a down payment with your online order. Delivery dates depend on order volumes, weather, and cattle ready for harvest but will usually be once every couple months.
Once the animal is processed, our team will email you to set up a date and time for pickup and invoice the remaining balance.
The remaining balance can be paid by check at pickup or online (before pickup). Payment must be made before a home delivery.
If you cancel your order before your Locker Beef ships, the deposit is non-refundable

How Long?
Shipping charges do apply to locker beef delivered via UPS. 1/8 Beef: $132, 1/4 Beef: $237, 1/2 Beef: $473, Whole Beef: $946
Find your state and “Area” on the map below. We ship to the lower 48. If you are UPS Ground in the 1-Day Area expect your shipment on a Tuesday, the 2-Day Area arrives a Wednesday etc. If your area is 2nd-Day Air please email us.
Holiday season shipping takes longer. We cannot ship to 3-Day Ground Areas over the holidays.
We verify that orders will arrive in 1-3 days before shipment. UPS does not deliver on Saturday. If your order does meet the deadline or fit the 3 day delivery window, we will roll it over to the next week. If we need to adjust your shipment service due to weather, transit time, or box weight we'll let you know. You will receive a fulfillment and tracking notice by email after the order is shipped. UPS 3 Day Select is only available seasonally.
